In staying true to the pre-1960s Speyside tradition of using lightly peated malted barley, we create the traditional taste of Speyside, reviving the subtle smokiness that was almost lost forever.
On the 15th October 1998, HRH Prince Charles, as he was known then, signed cask #1. 20 years later, we released 575 decanters of this single malt, marking an incredibly special moment in the history of Benromach.
All sales proceeds from these decanters went to charitable causes.
HRH Prince Charles, as he was known then, officially reopened Benromach back in 1998.
Today, almost 25 years later, we congratulate the King on his coronation.
Perfectly balanced. Beautifully complex. Each dram of our whisky brings abundant fruit – sweet, rich and zesty.
As the flavours develop, warm spice and creamy malt notes add further depth to the dram which culminates with Benromach's signature touch of smoke.
If you weren't able to come along during @spirit_speyside, you can still visit Benromach distillery at another time to explore the craftsmanship behind our hand-made whisky.

In the years since its launch, this remarkable expression has quickly captured attention with several gold medal awards and has become a beloved favourite amongst our long-time friends and fans.
Have you had the opportunity to try our 21 Year Old?🥃
🥃 Following a patient maturation in our traditional dunnage warehouses, the first batch of Benromach 21 Year Old was proudly introduced to our core range of Speyside single malt whiskies in late 2020.

Some of you had Q's following yesterday's post, so here's more on our mash!
We combine 1.5t of grist with 3 waters of increasing temperatures using a semi-lauter mash tun to create a cloudy wort for complex, malty flavours. It takes 6 hrs per run to produce 7,550 litres of wort.
During their visit to Benromach Distillery, visitors may witness our small team at work. Here's a glimpse of Murdo Mackenzie, our Production Manager, meticulously inspecting the contents of the mash tun.
At Benromach, we take pride in crafting single malts by hand for genuine character.
The passion and skill of those working behind the scenes form an essential part of our whisky-making process.
Slàinte! 🥃🙌
