David Otunga recalls John Cena delivering a receipt for the Nexus and legitimately fracturing Michael Tarver's elbow:

"I vividly remember this. There was a spot where Tarver and I had to slide in the ring and Cena had a chair, and he was going to hit us with a chair.

"I'd only been in the business for little over a year, very green, this was my first time experiencing a chair shot. I just know ok, they're gonna hit me in the back, open up for it. I did, opened up. Cena hit me with that chair, I'm telling you right now, that was one of the most painful things I felt inside a wrestling ring. I thought, wait a minute? That that can't be right, that must have been a mistake. Then he did it again.

"Look, I was supposed to be in there for four or five shots. I took maybe one and a half and I was like, uh-uh, absolutely not. I rolled out of the ring. This is one of the only times I was I wasn't taking something.

"I realized it's because Cena was doing this on purpose; he was trying to get his receipt. I had heard him mention something before about that and definitely after the fact, and he was letting it be known in the ring at the time! 'This is for all those times you did this. This is for all the times you did that', like he's muttering under his breath.

"Boy, when I got away he was tearing Tarver up. He was tearing Tarver up. Tarver didn't get out as quickly as I did, I think Tarver thought he was tough and tried to take it, but one of those shots showed how stiff it was, and actually fractured Tarver's elbow. Like he legitimately was hurt.

"I know Tarver talked about this and people thought he was just complaining, or making it up, or exaggerating. No, that really happened. I was the other man in the ring with Tarver, I'm telling you, that really happened. I'm telling you, it was our receipts from Nexus because Cena actually told us that, and said something about that after the fact when we came to the back like 'that was your receipt, you still got more coming'.

"Alright John, but I tell you what, that was my first and last time getting hit by a chair by John Cena in WWE."
