In moments of grief, it's natural to feel isolated and hesitant to share our pain with others. We worry we'll burden them, or bring them down if we open up. These fears can lead us to suffer in silence. But you are not a burden. Our grief is valid - even when it’s heavy.
Saying the name of a child who has died can be very important to bereaved parents. A lovely way to include the child’s name might be to add that you always remember them in a card or message you send to the family.

When you’re not prepared for a death it can be difficult to believe or accept what has happened. This is often a problem if you couldn’t be with or hold the person who died. What has helped you in this situation?
Today we are thrilled to announce a new Good Grief Trust media campaign launching this summer!
During August we will be displaying our branded posters with a QR code, above hand dryers in Motorway service stations across Wales, Scotland and England.
We hope this national campaign will raise awareness of 1000 + charities and support services under our umbrella and help bereaved families and those travelling during the summer holidays, to know where to turn for help.

“Seeing” the person who has died and hearing their voice can happen because our brain is trying to process the death and accept that it’s final. Sometimes these feelings can be very powerful. They may be comforting but can also feel disturbing.
