Throughout this semester, I've been enrolled in COM 300 - Fat and Feminism through @NewhouseSU and the honors program. We've had critical conversation on what fatphobia is, how it manifests itself on campus and how weight bias impacts our world.
Please consider giving this a read: https://t.co/x4kYDEkwDv And a huge thank you to @HarrietBrown and all my classmates for making this experience so impactful, as well as my friends and editors at @dailyorange for encouraging me and helping me publish this story.

College campuses are built for people in certain body types to thrive and for those who don't meet certain beauty standards to struggle. There's no doubt that SU and other college campuses can do a better job in size inclusion, but change also starts at the individual level.
“When you see folks in suits and ties working on Wall Street smoking up a doobie, it’s going to relieve some of that stigma from the rest of the country." https://t.co/S5w65YwmT2
This is incredible! For a bit over 3 weeks, 40 newsrooms have been competing to raise money for student journalism and today we passed the 100k mark. I'm so impressed by all the student newsrooms and a huge thank you to each of the 875 donors that has helped us hit this mark!
Donate to The D.O. at https://t.co/lLZPI9Duzu. And make sure to check out the 39 other newsrooms at https://t.co/wRpcH4binK because the work they do is indispensable to their communities the same way The D.O. is indispensable to ours.
Today is Class Act day at Syracuse University. The university texted anyone with senior standing, myself included, and asked them to donate $20.22 to wear a special cord at graduation. That is about half a week’s pay for a full-time staffer at The D.O.
Help us continue to provide the Syracuse community with the best coverage. Consider donating to The D.O. Although you won’t get a cord at graduation, you will get to give back to the organization that tells the stories that matter to the SU community.
There are just about 15 days left in #CollegeMediaMadness and we've now made over $50K for college newsrooms across the nation. Show these college journalists you care by donating today at https://t.co/TGwpXGSZ4T and blowing last year's total out of the water!
