From WES: Mrs. Schell in 2nd great We reviewed what it means to be grateful and thankful. We watched a music video "Thankful Grateful Appreciate" and read the Thankful Book by Todd Parr. We then did a writing activity about what we are all thankful for. #SELday @BASDNEWS

Miss Brown at NHUF is a true champion of SEL - We celebrated national Random Acts of Kindness Day by taking notice of kind deeds done/received. Talked about how kindness spreads. #SELDay2022 @BASDNEWS

Shout out to Mrs. Lewis in 2nd grade over at WES who is doing awesome work with SEL - We use these “Feeling Scales” to help students to communicate their feelings. This tool will be used to help them measure/view their emotions and how they relate to them. #SELDay2022 @BASDNEWS

In fourth grade, Mrs Hager does some amazing stuff every day with SEL - We have a focus video that facilitates discussion about an SEL topic (empathy)  and then we allow some time to get to know each and share what is going on in our lives. @BASDNEWS #SELDay2022

Our gratitude chain is an amazing example of all the things we have to be grateful for every day.  Students in grades K to 5 all shared the things for which they are thankful for to create this chain with hundreds of links and loads of gratitude. @BASDNEWS #SELDay2022
