Today, @Nature Senior Editor Zoltan Fehervari visited #CeMM for a seminar and discussion, hosted by Adjunct PI A. Bergthaler (@Bergthalerlab) & @MedUni_Wien . Thank you for the insightful session on #SciencePublishing & valuable advice for early-career researchers! ๐ฌ ๐
For research, times have become more difficult in many places. In #Vienna, the conditions have steadily improved. We are convinced that this trend will continue, and will do our part to contribute. We enjoy living & conducting research in Vienna! #IEnjoyResearchInVienna#Austria
It was great to host @LabListon@Cambridge_Uni with us for scientific discussions, a great guest seminar on Tregs in tissues, as well as an inspiring workshop about positive research culture. More on the latter @LinkedIn .

The @Bergthaler_Lab from @MedUni_Wien together with the #CERMEL and @IWR_Water explored in an Africa-UniNet @OeAD_worldwide project, how wastewater-based epidemiology (#WBE) may help to mitigate infectious diseases in tropical, semi-urban African settings. #OneWater 1/n
To this end, researchers from the institutes met in Lambarรฉnรฉ (Gabon ๐ฌ๐ฆ) to sample waste- and surface-waters. Samples were examined for rotavirus A, a leading cause of severe diarrhea. In Africa, #diarrhea remains among the most common causes of death, especially in children. 2/n
