The message of peace, which in these times unfortunately sounds naïve to some and provocative to others, is welcomed by those who do not close themselves within ready-made ideologies, but remain open to the truth.
Charity admits no delay. Our responsibility before those in need makes every encounter with others a unique and unrepeatable moment of grace for love, not to be missed or postponed. The love of Christ impels us toward our brothers and sisters, and the charity and care with which we respond are the test of our faith. #ApostolicJourney #Spain

Reflection by Pope Leo XIV
"Artificial intelligence now demands to be 'disarmed,' freed from logics that turn it into an instrument of domination, exclusion, and death. Like nuclear energy, it must be at the service of all and of the common good. Decisions about technology must never be separated from conscience and responsibility. Peace, not merely the absence of war, is justice at work. But when technology weakens our critical sense, peace itself is at risk."
(Presentation of Magnifica humanitas, May 25, 2026)
#MagnificaHumanitas
📜 Feast of Saint Pope Paul VI
Today we celebrate Pope Paul VI, the pope who brought the Second Vatican Council to its conclusion and helped shape modern Catholic Social Teaching.
Through landmark encyclicals such as Populorum Progressio, he offered a bold and prophetic vision of integral human development, insisting that economic progress must always serve the dignity of the human person and the common good.
💬 “Development cannot be limited to mere economic growth.” (Populorum Progressio, 14)
💬 “Development is the new name for peace.” (Populorum Progressio, 76)
His teaching remains deeply relevant today, reminding us that justice, solidarity, and authentic development are essential foundations for peace.
📖 Why not revisit Populorum Progressio and reflect on how its vision challenges us in our own time?

Highlights from Pope Leo's meeting with the clergy and religious. "Don’t forget: you are part of a love story—that of the Lord for His people—which began before you and will not end with you; you are part of it as unique and indispensable pieces," he said.
