Don't forget that there where tons of people fighting to put heavy restrictions on the internet in the 90s. It would have made it unusable. Those people were held back by people who saw the potential. Saw the connections being made by disparate people around the world.

Lot's of respectable people just dumping hate on a technology. Hate for NFTs, even when artist are cutting out middleman to make a living. Hate for POW when they have no issues hoping on a plan to go visit paradise for fun.
