@InnaSovsun: In terms of energy security, this winter was relatively stable. However, this must not lead to a false sense of security or the illusion that everything is fine—it is not. Ukraine’s energy infrastructure suffers daily attacks, many energy sector employees have lost their lives. The situation remains extremely fragile.
Geopolitically, we are in a difficult situation. U.S. support was vital, also for the energy sector, and it has now been completely suspended. Equipment is stuck in warehouses, and we are not receiving it. How soon will we run out of missiles for the Patriot air defense system? Suspension of intelligence sharing is also devastating.
We strongly hope our European partners will step in—clear signals of support from them will strengthen Ukraine’s position in negotiations with the U.S.

Uncertainty remains due to war, weak investment, and fiscal strain. Growth could rise if security improves, reconstruction begins, or extra funding arrives. Private investment is crucial but hindered by risk. Ukraine needs strong guarantees and policy stability to drive recovery.
