At the #GreenAgenda Ministerial in Žabljak 🇲🇪, WB6 partners agreed on joint action, from reducing plastic pollution🥤and restoring forests 🌳 to protecting biodiversity 🍃.

The #GreenAgenda came to Žabljak, bringing ministers, experts and partners together for two packed days of decisions, discussions and new regional commitments. ⛰️♻️

The Third Annual Ministerial Meeting on the Green Agenda for the #WesternBalkans covered everything from ministerial discussions and the endorsement of the 2026 Ministerial Declaration, to new regional deliverables on climate adaptation, biodiversity, forest restoration, single-use plastics and Extended Producer Responsibility. 🌿📄

Day two moved from commitments to conversation, with panels and practical exchanges on plastic pollution, biodiversity and ecosystem restoration, monitoring and sustainable finance. 💬🌱

The Berlin Process Leaders’ Summit is coming to Sveti Stefan on 21–22 October!
🇲🇪PM Milojko Spajić and 🇩🇪Chancellor Friedrich Merz, representing this year’s Chair and the BP's founding country, will open the Summit, bringing together WB leaders, BP partner countries and the EU 🇪🇺

RCC Secretary General @amer_kap met with Prime Minister of Montenegro @MickeySpajic in Podgorica today ⏭️ to discuss preparations for the upcoming Berlin Process events including the Third Ministerial Meeting on the #GreenAgenda for #WB, Meeting of Ministers of Economy and the Western Balkans Digital Summit, which contribute to the implementation of the RCC-coordinated #CommonRegionalMarket.

Great to see Montenegro’s strong commitment to the regional agenda, and to hear PM Spajić’s appreciation for RCC’s support along the way.
“Our shared task is to turn regional commitments into concrete results that bring the region closer together and closer to the EU. The RCC remains fully committed to supporting Montenegro in delivering on the priorities of the Berlin Process and making this year’s agenda a success” said Kapetanović.

While in Podgorica, RCC SG also met Deputy Prime Minister and @MFA_MNE Minister @ErvinIbrahimov1 and the EU Ambassador to Montenegro @josattler. Their exchanges centred on regional cooperation, Montenegro’s Berlin Process Chairmanship and keeping the Western Balkans’ European path moving forward through concrete regional results.

Montenegro’s tangible progress towards EU membership remains a strong reflection of sustained efforts, commitment and reform.
