@JPFinlayNBCS@atxpumpkinhead@Mitch_Tischler@john_keim That’s inaccurate. When the money is close/the same, then facilities, weather, coaches, QB, etc all are very important factors. It’s rare when the money is so different that it trumps everything.
@Tiller56 Closer to 30th than 10th. And his contract holdout single handedly took away all the momentum in the organization from the previous season. Can’t wait til he’s gone.
@Tiller56@PlainOldLuke You’re missing my point. This plethora of young FA’s coming off their rookie deals every year that most feel AP didn’t sign doesn’t exist. You showed it here by listing one CB, and he was only available because he had a severe leg injury. There were 2 DT’s and we signed 1.
@Tiller56@PlainOldLuke So 4 Safety’s, a CB, and a DT. We signed the other top DT and Safety wasn’t a position of need going into the offseason. So basically you’re saying we should have signed Adebo, who had a very mediocre season for NY.
@PlainOldLuke@Tiller56 Curious, who were the young impactful free agents coming off their rookie deal last year that left their teams in free agency at positions of need?
@AlGaldi If he strongly feel Kingsbury is leaving for a HC job this year or the next and didn’t want Blough to leave before he was hired by someone, then it’s a smart move.
Many wish we did the same type of preemptive strike with McVay over Gruden.
@Tiller56 I’m good if they trade him tbh. We finally had good vibes around here, and Terry(NOT HIS AGENT) single handedly sucked the wind out of the organization. He’s a 2 on top teams anyway.
@Tiller56 He played his leverage, time for AP to play his. Announce you’re not trading him, activate him from the PUP list, tell him to practice and if he doesn’t then he starts paying fines. Then tell him he’s playing under contract and you’re putting the franchise tag on him the next 2.
@Shellsyeah81@michalskishane He played 17 games and didn’t have 1100 yards. He averaged 65 ypg. As much of a great guy he is, and he is, he’s not a top 10 WR and doesn’t deserve “what he wants” money. I love him, but overpaying at this stage of the rebuild is not the right move.
@Stephen79026756 @Tiller56 Chip drafted Agholar, Howie handled every other pick since ‘15 and from “10-14. From ‘16 on, he’s only drafted 2 players that have made multiple pro bowls. I’m not saying he’s not good, he is, but he’s not a HOF GM.
@Tiller56 I said he did a good job putting together the core, but he is overrated for his draft performance. He does a nice job accumulating picks which have helped in trades. But when guys like Kiper say he’s a HOF GM, to me that’s overrating him.
@Tiller56 He’s definitely overrated but he has done a good job of building a strong core and managing the cap so he can weather the bad picks/signings like Huff, Watkins, Dillard and M Smith. That core enables him to not have to draft for need which always makes you look better as a GM.
@Tiller56 Eagles history has shown they don’t fail to re-sign young players and have them go on to do great things at other places. If he’s not re-signed in Philly that’s a huge red flag to me, especially with them having no other competent outside rushers.
