This piece by @guardian is a masterclass in why old-school journalism will never die. You could easily lose 3 hours in this and still want more. https://t.co/P6xxOOo518
@MatthewAguilar5@SteveKim323 I was thinking about this yesterday - my first PPV (although I watched it on an obscure Irish terrestrial channel) - it was like seeing superman in real life.
@fightingwords2 It's great to see diversity in wrestling, I still think there is an element of the Southern boys club about it, so it's great to see a guy like Oba resonate with fans.
@JonSpurling1@WeAreTheOverlap I've said that every day since the final. Simon Jordan has made the same argument online as well. I really wish ex pro's would leave punditry alone - the bias is at critical levels. Although it's also hilarious how much it winds them up.
@JonSpurling1@WeAreTheOverlap Liverpool may have be swashbuckling in the 2005 final but the 2007 final was a different story. A stacked midfield, Kuyt a lone figure up front, 4 attempts on target the same as PSG in this years final. You play to your strengths. Ridiculous that Carragher would say otherwise.
โArsenal fans are unbearableโ
Translation:
โI was dishing it out for years but now I am offended I have to take it, I find it oppressive and unbearableโ.
@kishengiggs1@IanDarke What are you basing this on? Goalkeeping errors helped Sporting beat PSG in the CL; Bayern beat them at home but had to sit deep in the second half. Arsenal's goal last night was an example of individual brilliance & a teams quality can also be in defensive areas not just attack.
@IanDarke I imagine it sound like, "high tempo, attacking football, pinning your opponents back overlapping fullbacks, wingers and attacking midfielders." It might have won you the CL in the late 90s, but it would leave you exposed at the back in the modern game.
