🇱🇹 It’s Freedom Day! On this day in 1993, the last soldier of the Soviet Red Army left #Lithuania.
For many nations, World War II ended in 1945. For Lithuania, the final chapter of Soviet occupation closed only on this day, when the boots of the occupying army left our soil.
Today, as authoritarian regimes once again seek to redraw borders, erase nations, and challenge the rules-based international order, the lesson remains clear: peace cannot rest on illusions, and freedom cannot be taken for granted or survive without resolve.
Lithuania stands where it always should: free and committed to a safer, stronger, and more resilient #Europe. We celebrate freedom every day by living in a free and democratic country!
Russia’s actions in Ukraine are a clear case of genocide.
Moscow backs genocidal rhetoric denying Ukrainian statehood and identity with direct action:
Kidnapping children, forcibly Russifying occupied areas, and committing mass atrocities
Germany and France are at the brink of being taken over by Russian spies. It’s incredible that little to nothing is being done to end the threat of right wing pro Russian troll farms and influencers. If we are to win the war then securing the home front is a necessity.
🇺🇦🔥 This morning: drones reached the Wildberries logistics hub in Yekaterinburg.
Same city where gasoline queues were already visible from the air.
2,000 km from Ukraine. Third hit on this site.
The rear is not the rear.

On August 24 in Kyiv, at the initiative of First Lady Olena Zelenska, the Sixth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen took place, which brought together figures from around the world to share their experiences of resilience.
The event was held during the 35th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence, under the theme World 2026: Finding Stability in Times of Uncertainty. Among the guests in Kyiv was UNITED24 ambassador and Canadian actress, @KatherynWinnick.
After the Summit, she shared her impressions of the visit to Ukraine. "Ukraine will prevail," said Katheryn. Thank you, Katheryn, for seeing Ukraine as it truly is. And for speaking about it to the whole world.
It is estimated that at least 24.000 inhabitants of Mariupol were killed by russian forces while they besieged and took over the city in 2022.
24.000 is the lowest estimate. The highest is close to 100.000.
on top of this
15.000 Ukrainian civilians have been killed by russian air strikes since 2022 - again, the lowest estimated agreed upon by multiple Ukrainian and international sources.
And these numbers do not account for the thousands more killed while russia leveled cities in Eastern Ukraine like Bakhmut, Toretsk, Marinka, Vulhedar, Avdiivka, Chasiv Yar and others.
At a big international film festival this year, a Ukrainian filmmaker presented her film and during the Q&A, a Palestinian filmmaker rose and asked her to talk about Palestine because more people died there.
Ukrainians are too dignified to do genocide Olympics.
But, make no mistake, this is a genocide and those in the west who repeatedly ask to stop helping Ukraine and stop paying attention to Ukraine are active supporters of a genocide.
Krasnodar Krai, Russia ❗
🔥More footage! In Anapa’s wetlands, 80 rescuers and 25 vehicles are battling the fire. Strong winds are spreading smoke across the area. Monitoring teams and fire crews are deployed near residential areas. Air support is expected once the drone alert is lifted. - local media
Russia has increased its attacks on Ukraine over the weekend, targeting and killing primarily civilians. Several Russian terrorists have also been apprehended across Europe planning attacks. Russia knows it can’t win a conventional war so it’s resorting to overall terrorism.
Kyiv. russia has been attacking for the third day in a row. Nonstop.
This is the 9th air raid alert today.
My parents are elderly. They could have been anywhere. But they stayed in Kyiv with their children and grandchildren. Because it’s their home. Because they wanted to be here and support the country.
I haven’t been in Kyiv these past few days, so I keep checking on them.
Before, they went to the shelter every time the air raid siren sounded. They were scared. They called, texted, worried.
Just now, a strike hit nearby.
I called and asked my mom:
— So, how are you guys?
— They’re not gonna fucking get us. We’re not even going to the bathroom. We’re watching a movie.
And you know what? This isn’t some beautiful story of Ukrainian “resilience.”
It’s exhaustion.
People have been afraid for so long that they’re simply too exhausted to be afraid anymore.
The world, fuck, loves talking about Ukrainian resilience. But it has no idea what it costs us.
And I don’t even want to talk about the cities where the danger is even closer. There are many of them across Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the world sits on everything that could help stop this terror and watches its reality show about the destruction of Ukrainians.
Later, everyone will write their own version of history. Each one the way it suits them.
But there is only one truth.
And it will remain.
