Been thinking about how we can be so sure about someone being "the one" and they can be just as sure that we're not. both certainties can exist in the same room. both can be real. but only one person has to be right for the whole thing to fall apart.
Being a house agent in Lagos nearly put one guy in trouble. 😂
He helped a client get an apartment in a very good estate. The guy inspected the house, liked it, and paid. He even gave the agent his inspection fee, transport fare, and something for refreshment.
Not long after moving in, the POP ceiling inside the apartment collapsed. Luckily, the guy wasn’t in the room when it happened.
Next thing, he called the agent, saying he wanted to leave the house and get ALL his money back, including the agent fee.
The agent told him, “My brother, if the landlord refunds your rent, no problem. But my agent fee? That one no dey come back.”
They eventually fixed the POP and tried to convince him to stay, but the guy was still hell bent on getting his money back. He even threatened to sue him if they did not refund him in full.
When I tell people I’ve gone five years without having sex, some will say I’m lying. But it was a decision I made, and I’ve stuck with it.
I’ve stayed out of relationships throughout this period because I know myself. I can’t be in a relationship and expect myself not to have sex.
Do I get the urge? Yes, absolutely.
Do I touch myself? No.
Whenever the urge comes, I drink water, listen to music because it helps me relax, keep myself busy, or simply go to sleep.
That’s how I’ve been managing it for five years.
You finally found your heartthrob after years of searching, but your father says you can’t marry someone from that religion or he’ll disown you. What are you doing next?
