Our last event of the year took place last week. It involved year 5 sports leaders organising events for year 2s from various schools, including Berrywood. All the children represented the school fantastically. Well done to everyone who has taken part in an event this year!

8 girls and 8 boys from year 4 recently took part in a multi-sports event. Dodgeball, tri-golf, quidditch, ultimate frisbee and frisbee golf were the different events and all were met with great enthusiasm and teamwork. Fantastic work Berrywood!

This week a number of our year 6 children took part in a quidditch festival! Although we sadly didn’t discover magic, they all had a great time trying and adapting to something new.

After waiting patiently for the rearranged date, yesterday our year 5 boys finally got to participate in their football tournament at Swanmore! Both teams performed great and represented the school brilliantly, finishing second and third in their groups.

Our year 5 and 6 boys cricket team came second yesterday at an inter-school tournament. This was a great effort and a fantastic team result, well done Berrywood!

Yesterday a group of year 6 children competed in an exciting athletics event, running, jumping and throwing across a range of disciplines- well done!

The last couple of weeks have seen teams take part in tri-golf tournaments, a great effort by all!

Teams from year 4 and 5 spent the afternoon at a cross country event hosted by The Gregg School. For many it was their first taste of a running event; they all did brilliantly and we even collected a few medals!
