Very happy that I could give a talk about measurement of fatigue after brain injury and how fatigue can become a chronic problem through learning #NeuroRehabLorne2021
@BertLenaert at WFNR-SIG: single administration of a retrospective questionnaire does not sufficiently capture daily fatigue experience - complimentary momentary assessment could be helpful in clinical practice

@AnilvanderZee@meuldersann@maastricht_fpn Hi Anil. Bodily distress disorder was the name of the course for which I gave this lecture, but I indeed discussed fatigue in a much broader sense. From fatigue as a normal and adaptive sensation to a chronic symptom interfering with daily life.
More evidence that mental fatigue is not so easy to quantify. Sometimes one can feel fatigued but performance is maintained and sometimes performance and brain activity are still altered when one does not report to be fatigued https://t.co/1OeJuPogbt
@SamueleMarcora Good find! Although (chronic) fatigue may also become disconnected from prior activity. Maybe this definition best describes fatigue when it still has the adaptive function of triggering rest and recovery after effort.
