He was laughed at when he confronted Europe on trade. Mocked in Brussels, dismissed in Berlin, scorned in Paris. But within a few months, the European Union caved.

He was laughed at when he demanded that NATO allies pay their share. Today, European defence budgets are rising—not out of generosity, but out of fear that Trump will hold them accountable again. He shifted the burden, not just in rhetoric, but in actual money.

He was laughed at when he warned Germany about its gas dependency on Russia. Merkel rolled her eyes. The German press called him ignorant. Then came 2022. Trump was right—early, loudly, and completely.

The only ones still laughing are the ones who achieved nothing. Trump’s record on EU trade, defence realignment, and economic pressure proved effective, consistent, and results-driven. He exposed the weakness of European leadership and made them move. Sometimes, the one who gets laughed at is the only one who understands the game.

He was laughed at when he said he would run for President. No one believed he would win. Not the media. Not the experts. Not even himself.

But he had one thing that matters more than predictions, credentials, or polls: the will. And the will changes everything.
