Also… if the U.S. can invade and extract a president from a sovereign nation overnight (illegally), it raises serious questions.
Why are underfunded gang leaders in Haiti suddenly impossible to apprehend? Why is long-term troop occupation framed as the only answer for Haiti?
Venezuela has the largest proven oil reserves in the world. This morning the U.S. invaded, kidnapped its president, & is now selecting his replacement. We’ve seen this pattern before. Haitians have lived it. Invasion. Destabilization. Control. Narrative rewriting. History repeats
Hurricane Melissa tore through the Caribbean, leaving devastation across Jamaica, Cuba & Haiti. At least 25 lives have been lost in Haiti, & countless families are grieving. My team of trainers has been stranded in the South for 5 days. Please join me in prayer for all affected.
What a dream! A few weeks ago I got to touch and see thousands of ✨Taíno✨ artifacts in Haiti. I feel blessed and so connected to our land, ✨Ayiti ✨. A collaboration will be coming in the future! Viv Ayiti! Viv istwa nou! 🇭🇹
As a Haitian American, I honor Juneteenth. I honor African Americans and their valiant fight for freedom. They have resisted and risen, again and again. As I celebrate African Americans, I am reminded of our shared legacy of liberation & our intertwined destiny of freedom. ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽
Today in Haiti, it’s a national holiday, Labor and Agriculture Day! There’s no better way to celebrate than to visit our canals! I got to dig at Malfety, visit rice fields using water we helped Farine access & I visited several gastronomical fairs at schools in Fort Liberté! 🇭🇹
I just came back from a work trip in Indiana and I made sure to always have a Haitian flag on me. I also loved giving flags to fellow Haitians in the meetings. Every time I shared a flag, I didn’t just give away fabric — I shared identity, history, and hope. Viv Ayiti! 🇭🇹💪🏿
I love learning about the history of our land, Ayiti. Taino history is an integral part of Haitian history & every year I get excited for this study! Gen moun k ap fache, men ki mele m? Si moun yo li sa ki nan liv sa yo, yo t ap konprann, istwa sa se pou nou li ye tou. 🇭🇹
@RysaAGS Clearly you haven’t read any of these books. Come back at me after you’ve put in the work and you’ve read them. Otherwise, I have no more time to waste on your foolishness.
Every time I lift up a Haitian flag, I’m not just raising up fabric. I’m lifting up the courage, the struggles & the triumph of my people. I’m lifting up our stories, our voices, our legacy. I know #Haiti will rise. I see it in the eyes of Haitians who fight to see change in 🇭🇹.
Supporting canals across Haiti has been such a great honor for me but helping Haitian students will always be my top priority, my purpose for being in Haiti. Education is key to Haiti advancing. Viv edikason! Viv Ayiti! 💪🏿🇭🇹 #Haiti#Ayiti
Thanks to the generosity of an incredible donor and the entire Haitian diaspora, my team just donated 1 million goud of supplies and support to the second canal! Oh my goodness, the head of this canal is about to be finished in the upcoming weeks! Viv agrikilti! Viv Ayiti! 🇭🇹
Everything in me wants to see the head of the Malfety canal complete. Thanks to the generosity of a beautiful anonymous donor & the diaspora, my team just brought 300,000 goud to the canal this week (15% of what’s needed to finish the head). We will make another drop soon. 💪🏿🇭🇹
✨EXCITING NEWS✨
A generous donor reached out to my team & offered to match all donations coming in for the Malfety canal up to $25,000! They love the work of the community & they love my team’s transparency. Mezanmi! The head of this canal is def. going to be complete soon!🇭🇹
As intense as my schedule has been getting lately, I want to always prioritize school visits in #Haiti🥰. Connecting to students reminds me of my why. It feeds the deepest parts of my soul. 🇭🇹
