@Pyronemo How is it compared to 12.6.3? My model S felt like it was constantly accelerating and stopping accelerating and stopping like a crazy yo-yo. Is it a smoother acceleration without constant power bumps?
Watch the energy meter on the right. You can feel every single fluctuation of the power output. The best way I can describe it is: when you’re learning to drive manual, and you’re trying to get moving and you’re letting the clutch out, if you’ve ever had the car lurching forward repeatedly when you have the clutch partially engaged, THAT’S what this feels like… except at 70 mph (and all speeds in between). It does this consistently, no matter the conditions/speed profile. Can’t go more than a few minutes or so without it happening. And it’s even worse on city streets.
It’s so genuinely uncomfortable and is annoying the hell out of passengers (and me). @teslasi please fix speed control in legacy S/X. It’s the biggest problem with FSD since 12.5.1.5. I’m likely going back to using basic AP for the first time in 2 years 😔
@comma_ai I use open pilot daily in my legacy 2016 model s AP1 using the Tinkla branch. With AP1 my car will not stop at stop signs or traffic lights and division was severely limited to clear lines on the road. I prefer my open pilot to my current 2018 Model S with FSD 12.6.3
@Update1page@Don0nTheBeat@scubaryan_ Your bio literally says put God first and then you continue to shit on God’s children. Crazy man. Must lack self-esteem that you have to berate other people to feel better.
Just got FSD 12.6.3 on my 2017 Legacy Model S 75D MCU2. I previously had 12.5.4.2. What I noticed so far: no more slamming at a green light, which is amazing. I am actually amazed by some of the new decisions the car has been making! Here’s the wild thing:
I feel 100% more confident in the highway and on exits. The city streets are quite a step back in terms of how often I have to press the accelerator to go back up to 40 as the car wants to keep going down to 10mph
I have noticed the car makes very smart moves now! I was never a super 12.5.4.2 hater. I was terrified of the green light slamming, so I dint want to come off as ungrateful. Just noting my experience. The steering wheel is very smooth now! No more jerky-hesitant steering.
90% of the time it feels like the car is in constant yoyo. I can feel my head rocking. It doesn’t slam the breaks in a green light, however, it will always try to slow down to, I don’t know why, 10 miles per hour????
