@jayduh__ It’s because the mailmen/woman teach your dog to be unintentionally. They come to the door, your dog barks at them, the drop what they had and run away. Your dog thinks they left because they scared them away. For most dogs it’s the most consistent training they receive.

@ILYSE0UL Dogs pull on the leash because they have opposition reflex. Tension on the leash causes them to dig in and go forward. Most dogs also have too much undirected focus which makes it worse
@Whyshalleee Hi! Congratulations on your new pup!
I highly recommend bringing him to the vet for a general check up and vaccines. You will want to get him a crate, leash and collar (harness if you don’t know how to properly use a collar), find quality dog food and contact a trainer. Good luck
@mrsphotowife Sometimes puppies aren’t actually uncomfortable in the crate when they complain about it. they just learn quickly that by screaming, whining etc. you will reward them by coming near them, let them out, yell at them or give them a bone to occupy them. Rewards are a perspective.
We are going Live on our Facebook page this Thursday at 6pm to talk about dog boredom and what to do about it. Come by and discuss the topic with us! https://t.co/CqWiDC89B0
We will be practicing social distancing and masks must be worn for all in-person lessons, pick ups and drop offs. Consults will be held on Zoom Meeting (unless home visit required). We will also give the option to have private lessons online upon owners request.
