@blkorthogf Being a midwife is a wonderful job, but not a flexible job. Doula work on the other hand is. You could start doula work now, taking a few births a year & enjoy something you're passionate about while making the world a better place. If you still love it, then jump into midwifery.

@crystallovejo17 Doula work is actually great with young children. If you take 1 or 2 clients a month you will be able to stay home (you may miss a few hours of sleep) and make money. Just a thought - if supporting birth is your passion you can do it now and still be there for your family.
