I met Saurav and Ashu before leaving, and they are stronger than we think.

This is how the State tries to crush young people, but it should know that it will not break their spirit.

Keeping them in jail for unfurling the national flag? If this isn’t an undeclared Emergency, then what is?

Repression will not break their spirit.

[Arvind Kejriwal @ArvindKejriwal]

इससे यह पता चलता है कि मोदी जी इन युवाओं से कितना डरे हुए हैं।

Dictatorship

SEM has extended the jail term of Saurav Dass and Ashutosh by two more days.

This is just to keep them jailed while everyone celebrates Dussehra.

[Rajdeep Sardesai @sardesairajdeep]

IMPORTANT: the judicial custody of Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das extended by two days. Delhi Police wanted 5 days because of fear of protest call during festive season. Beyond ABSURD. 7 days custody needed for violating prohibitory orders? This is designed only to instil fear in young hearts and minds but may have just the opposite effect. 🙏

Gangsters and rapists are roaming free in the country

And activists are being jailed. Mother of democracy!

Release Saurav and Ashutosh now!

🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨

CJP LEADERS SAURAV DAS AND ASHUTOSH RANKA’S JUDICIAL CUSTODY EXTENDED BY TWO MORE DAYS!

The Special Executive Magistrate Court has extended their judicial custody for another two days, raising serious concerns over personal liberty, due process, and the legality of the action.

THIS IS COMPLETELY ILLEGAL!

Why is there such deafening silence around @SauravDassss’s arrest?

Saurav has been so much more than just the leader of CJP. He has contributed immensely to journalism, too.

Why isn’t the journalistic fraternity actively standing up for him?

The silence is baffling!

[Ratna Singh @whattalawyer]

I haven’t seen anything this absurd in my entire life.

Instead of cracking down on students and activists, the police should focus on actual criminals.

This is what happens when the Govt and police have their priorities completely misplaced.

[Neha Bora Team @NehaAisa]

It’s been more than five days now. Why are Saurav Das and Aushtosh Ranka still in jail? How much longer will they have to wait for justice?

[Ratna Singh @whattalawyer]

Higher courts ask to follow hierarchy. Pls see how SEM courts are functioning in capital city.

Absolute misuse of power!

[वरुण 🇮🇳 @varungrover]

We are definitely the only country in the world where people die in stampedes so often and still no corrective change ever happens.

Puja pandals, Kumbh mela, or even railway stations - this mass-murder technique funded by government and administrative apathy, covered-up by a criminally pliable news media, and accepted by a tired, oppressed public is a wonder possible only in the greatest civilisation on the planet.

Prayers for the departed souls in the Kolkata tragedy. Sadly that’s all most leaders will also do and move on.
