Not only must all birthdays celebrated same day, same cookie. They must all have the same napkin “with scalloped edges, gold foil detailing, and an ultra-fun polka dot print” that I prolly aren’t even sold in stores. + calling parents “caregivers” now is a bit extra on the scale
Absurd logic. @WABADC waivers for group rides means biking can kill you and cycling and bikes should require licenses, registration, and insurance just like motor vehicles. NPS requires waivers to do park clean ups with them. What an absolute foolish person and “coalition”
Neighborhood hoarder, often the first to claim free things and often advertises FB sales, yard sales, and free giveaways, seemingly ghost dropped from Buy Nothing Group and doesn’t know why
Wow. For the first time ever, reactionary people—opposing things before admitting to not understanding what they were opposing—swayed by discourse and reason! This is about clearing some trees to rehab the Rock Creek Golf Course. Within the historic course’s existing footprint
Would love to have more context about this funny one. What is the terrible music she is talking about! Maybe a teen garage band practice? And who said it was okay!
I think the answer is: they don’t care, don’t use it now, won’t use it later, and this is another example of trying to invent a sympathetic interest group you can say you’re looking out for?
@DcSafer They are caricatures…of themselves. Horse arcade games belong at Rehoboth, not here! Another wants to visit one of the existing “derbys” (thinking hat names Red Derby is a similar type of gambling hall). We’ve got trouble right here in River City! Everybody cut Footloose!
In fairness, most people are very supportive. And the ones that aren’t have crawled away in the face of the overwhelming excitement. But this lady with her “wake up people” I think she also raised the same shrieks about Little Beast and the noise the al fresco patio would create
Derby sounds awesome. Complainers: “how dare a business make noise—not suit me—I want cheap good burgers—I want Chinese.” Open your own damn restaurant! Don’t buy a home by a major thoroughfare then expect it to be rural. Same types that don’t want kids to play sports in parks
@KeithLovesMango Besides this being on the neighborhood listserv (thus the tweet), I know the person lives in the nabe and a dual income 6 figure+ household. That’s the point. And also besides the point (2/2)
When people try to sell junk for neighbors like this it boggles my mind. So embarrassing! You really need $1 for your leftover paper goods. Just give it away. Same person posted seeking poop bags which makes me want to save a bunch and sell them to her for $1
@KeithLovesMango No. It is an individual choice thing. people choose to sell or give things away at all income levels and lower sometimes=more generous. It’s the effort of selling so few goods of little value for little money. Posting a single pr of shoes for $5 etc that most ppl give away (1/2)
Wait, so he thinks “No Standing”= parking is okay? It’s just that pedestrians are not allowed to stand there on their feet? And this is unique to one jurisdiction and not universal parking law and language?
Re: the Tenleytown shots fired from last week, Chase is on the case! The police better sign this poster up to their detective squad for her innovative ideas that they definitely didn’t think to investigate like see if there is video available.
