Peter Steinberger predicts that 80% of apps will disappear in the age of AI agents.
He argues that most apps simply manage data, something agents can do more naturally.
Tasks like tracking meals, setting reminders, or fitness planning can be handled passively by AI.
Users won’t care where data is stored; they’ll just want things done for them.
Only apps with direct physical functions (like sensors) may survive.
Agents will run a lot of tasks across business sooner than people think.
I am convinced now that humans won't right code or at least shouldn't within 12 months. Agents will review code themselves with multiple layers of iteration

Who wants to shamelessly self promote with me? Next week I fancy a X/youtube live with some fellow vibe coders to chat about what we're building and the current landscape.
