"As gateways to knowledge and culture, libraries play a fundamental role in society. The resources and services each library offers all work towards helping to shape new ideas that are central to building a creative and innovative society." https://t.co/idSXGUy69g
The last of our Year 6 Open Evenings is taking place tomorrow at 4pm. It is an opportunity for any Year 6 pupil and their parents who haven’t yet had the chance to visit the school and hear about life as a St Joseph’s pupil! Looking forward to seeing you all 👍
Glad that my wifi came back up so I could listen to @auriol_miller talk about Understanding Welsh Places at #CILIPW21. This looks like an incredibly useful tool for librarians
Really interesting session at #CILIPW21 about #EstynAllan project. So good to hear how library staff have embraced new skills and have grown in confidence. Well done!

I have had lots of teachers asking me if they can use my children’s stories to make online videos for their pupils. Normally you have to get the author’s permission but please feel free to do whatever you like with my books at this time. Use them at toilet paper if that helps. x
All Neath Port Talbot libraries will close at the end of today (17-03-2020) until further notice. Books etc. will automatically be renewed and no fines will be incurred. Free books and magazines are available to download on our website https://t.co/jGKGIIs0Y3
On Saturday, I had a colossal panic attack. Hyperventilating, palpitations, the works. Our entire world feels so terrifying right now & for those of us w/ anxiety, it is hard not to feel the sky is falling. To help me cope, I turned off social media & restricted my news intake.
For the sake of the emergency services, really think about whether you need to go out today. Our entire area is filled with cars stranded in flood water. If you don’t HAVE to go out, don’t make people come rescue you!! Read a book instead!
When I was young my house was opposite a library.
Now I'm an author.
It doesn't take all that much effort to work out why.
Thank you libraries! I love you! 📚❤️ #Happylibrariesweek#readingforpleasure#readingrocks
