@SleeperMLB@SleeperPirates Pirates fan here. Skenes is incredible, but factoring in contacts, I’d rather have Konnor Girffin for 8.5 years than Skenes for 3.5.
@BoomersGhost@JG4President I’ve made a living off of sports betting for 10 years where it is my primary source of income. I’ve made millions of dollars in profit. We definitely exist, but are a rare breed. We tend to not sell picks or reveal edges on Twitter.
@Mattplayerprops You do this a lot, cherry pick the subset of data to show your play “should have” hit ~90% of the time. You didn’t even post ast, it was PA. How often does Harden cover when he goes 1 for 7 from 3 and makes 2 free throws?
@ConanOBrien My two favorite late nights hosts of my lifetime! I’ll be having champagne tonight to toast to Colbert’s incredible run. Love both you guys!
@ajw5158@JMackey_PGH@ChrisMuellerPGH They are the same against lefties this year (tiny sample size) and Triolo is significantly better in his career against lefties.
@MhallVA79@JMackey_PGH What evidence do you have that Horwitz is a better hitter against lefties than Triolo? The amount of Pirates fans with a strong opinion about lineup construction while burying their head in the sand about platoon splits is wild.
@KodyDuncanPGH And they have a 24-17 Pythagorean W-L record. And their biggest weaknesses (bullpen, RH bat) are some of the easiest holes to fill on the trade market. And the biggest disappointment so far this season (Ozuna) isn’t on long-term deal. So many reasons for optimism.
@Mikey5Aces Bubba Chandler has been one of our worst pitchers this season (outside of the mop-up guys) and has gotten absolutely destroyed the third time through the order (1.300 OPS). Mattson gave us a better chance based on any metric. He blew the lead, but that’s being results-oriented.
@BigJoesBBQ1@ThePoniExpress Bubba has been our worst pitcher this season, outside of the mop-up guys. And Chandler has been horrific the third time through the order (1.300 OPS in 29 PAs). Mattson blew the lead, but that’s being results-oriented. Pulling Chandler was the right call.
@imgonacum@CWolfPGH Triolo has been a solid Major Leaguer (almost 3 WAR per 162 games) in his career. He’s been terrible so far this season, no doubt, but it’s been just 9 starts for him, tiny sample size. Upgrades over Triolo at his price point are very difficult to find.
