The Big Sky is full of overlooked opportunities 💰 Smaller markets = softer lines & more value. Teams are under-the-radar, futures are mispriced, and upsets happen. We're focusing here first — hunting edges where sharp bettors can profit. #CBB#BigSky
This won’t be a popular quote from Venable, but like most things he does, it makes sense.
Tie game in the 9th. You need to cover at least 2 innings to win. Newcomb threw 25 pitches 4 days ago and 33 pitches 2 days ago. You don’t want to use him, but you will if there’s a win to be had.
Throwing Newcomb in the 9th, even if successful, sets you up for extra innings in a game you’re not favored to win, another multi-inning outing from a guy who’s probably gassed and who you’re counting on the next day, and a situation where you literally have no one else to turn to beyond Newcomb.
If Richards can fire another bullet, you take it, and hope you can win in the 10th. This was not a “must win” game in the sense the Tigers series was. Will still has to play for 162.
@HashTagWhiteSox@jokesonders The *may be indicators. If a player is making adjustments all season then the stats don’t mean much. Not saying they don’t matter at all but you can only get so much from minor leagues stats.
@HashTagWhiteSox@jokesonders Again, the minor leagues aren’t for stats. Some of them have been injured as well. Moncada, Robert and Eloy tore the minors apart though!
@BeisbolScout@whitesox Never was top 100, Sox intentional class sucked so being atop that class means nothing. Comparing Colas to Bonemar or Carlson (both higher ranked prospects) is laughable. Not to mention Colas was 23 when we signed him, Bonemar is 20 and Carlson is 19.
