Prominent human rights lawyer Doug Coltart today mounted a lone protest against abductions. This comes in the wake of the abduction and torture of opposition CCC legislator Takudzwa Ngadziore this morning by armed thugs who have since been identified as state agents.

Zimbabwe's prominent human rights lawyer, Doug Coltart, took to the streets as a lone protester, voicing his opposition to the ongoing deadly abductions and torture of Zimbabwean politicians.

This morning, CCC MP Takudzwa Ngadziore was abducted and tortured, making him the third CCC official to face this ordeal, following Cllr Nhende and Hon. Chidhakwa.

They were all abducted in the same manner, and video evidence has uncovered that these abductions are being carried out by Zimbabwe's state security operatives.

This is happening just before a decisive court case hearing, scheduled for tomorrow, November 2, 2023, which will address the illegal recall of CCC MPs by an imposter Interim Secretary General, Sengezo Tshabangu.

There is a fear that citizens might rise up due to the ongoing and continuous human rights violations by ZanuPF, who are using state machinery such as the police, the judiciary system, and the prisons. This has, in turn, increased the persecution of opposition leaders in an attempt to silence them.
