Anyone else feel more productive and generally happier when it's grey and raining outside?
Ex-hurricane Erin had been treating our parched land for several hours with continuous heavy rain and I never felt happier.
Just been editing a section of the main climax of Dark Hills, and I've got that rare, precious feeling ...
Wow, this is good! The tension hits with a sudden shock. It builds though action, dialogue, character personality changes. Plus, the changes I have made make it even better
@BookSpotlight 'Shut up! Or I'll cut that pretty face of yours that you're so fond of!'
'You think I'm pretty? I'd say I'm flattered but —' A hard slap knocked the words right from Leo, forcing his face into the wooden pole he was tied against.

@bollewrites I prefer 3rd limited, most books I've read seem to use this. Just a personal preference bug I'm not keen on 1st person. My wip, is written in 3rd limited.
Yes, for the third evening in a row I am editing my manuscript without being able to feel my fingers.
But this is preferable to lying awake listening to the wind which is what I'll be doing tomorrow night
🌪️🚨BREAKING: Two large tornadoes from Hurricane Milton crossed Interstate 75 in the Florida Everglades around 10 a.m. EDT, moving north between the towns of Miles City and Andytown.
The tornado shown here was east of the first tornado and closer to Andytown.
@RebeccaEvita Leo was a mechanic until being made redundant after his return from fighting in ww1. He's secretly struggling financially and only gets by through taking a dodgy loan which he repays by doing "tasks" for a local criminal duo.
@SarahKateIshii It contains a vintage racing car, English country house, a really cute friendship, and a ghost story. Somehow ... it all comes together into something that I hope makes sense
Editing is strangely satisfying. Yes I'm still lost as to how I somehow wrote the first chapter in present tense whilst the rest is in past 🤦♀️ but at least I know so I can fix it.
I'll start on chapter two next week.

@LornaR1980 There's a lack of understanding on what goes into writing a book. My sister is an artist, they see her progress and the finished result. They don't see mine as its a mass of docs saved on my laptop
I don't ask for a show of celebration but a compliment now and then would help.
