Weird little creations by what I think is a spangle gall wasp (judging by the @WildlifeTrusts website). Named rather appropriately after its creations of these spangle galls where wasp larvae will live and feed through winter to emerge in spring.

Scanning soil cores using x-ray CT for the first time in the Hounsfield lab! It will allow me to look at the soil's undisturbed structure and get an understanding of pores, worm channels, and a lot more.
