Yesterday ended up being a bit deflating, but I remain hopeful that Lucy will be home soon. My attorney actually told me on Thursday that Lucy may have been released as soon as that afternoon, but as Friday afternoon rolled into evening, I started to realize that they weren't going to let her out until Monday at the earliest.
It feels like they are just trying to twist the knife one last time. They may be the case, but I'm not completely sure. It could just be that government is doing what government does all the time: move at the glacial speed of bureaucracy.
That animal welfare check, however, seemed perfectly timed to send us a message - we may have won this round, but they aren't going to stop.
Using social media to expose their machinations to the light is good, but I plan to start taking concrete, legal steps to stop this bullying on Monday.
The law in this country should not be a tool to advance only the interests of the well-connected.
It's frustrating as we go into this weekend, but I look to Monday for good news.
Meanwhile, #SaveLucy is still trending.
Well, well, well…
Was his name really Barack Hussein Obama — or was it Jean Paul Ludwig? Let me explain.
After digging through records and old documents, something strange surfaced: the Social Security Number 042-68-4425, the one linked to Barack Obama, was originally assigned to a man named Jean Paul Ludwig — a French-born immigrant who came to the U.S. in 1924. He was reportedly given that SSN in March 1977.
Now here’s the kicker: Ludwig spent most of his adult life in Connecticut, which explains why his SSN begins with 042 — a prefix reserved for Connecticut residents.
Obama? Never lived or worked in Connecticut. So why would he have a Social Security number tied to that state?
It gets even more curious. Ludwig reportedly passed away in Hawaii, where Obama’s grandmother, Madelyn Payne Dunham, just happened to work in the probate office of the Honolulu Courthouse — with access to files of deceased individuals and their personal records, including unused Social Security numbers.
The theory is that Ludwig’s death was never properly reported to the Social Security Administration, likely because he never received benefits. That meant his number sat dormant — and accessible.
Some believe Dunham may have quietly found a number that belonged to someone long gone — someone not receiving benefits — and handed it off to her grandson, whose citizenship status has long been questioned by skeptics due to connections to Kenya and Indonesia.
And that’s just the beginning. If Trump — or anyone else — ever pushes past the birth certificate and straight into the mystery of this SSN, it’s going to be chaos. You’ll see heads spin on the left like never before. Because you can debate birthplaces all day long, but using a Social Security number that wasn’t assigned to you? That’s fraud.
This isn’t about politics. This is about the law — and the truth.
Let people make their own decisions, but they deserve to know.
If you’re reading this and just shrug it off? Then maybe you’re okay with being lied to. But if not, spread the word.
Because justice for this country is long overdue.
In God We Trust.

I've never asked people to share a Live Free episode before.
I would ask you to share this episode we did on @jamestalarico (that's pushing ~700k views across all platforms).
What he's doing requires a level of theological awareness to understand, which is why he's deceptive to a lot of Christians.
When this began, I had 3,000 followers. Most had just followed me after I followed them. Now I have 10,000 and I keep getting rate limited on the follow backs. Thank you all!
With the #SaveLucy community going away tomorrow, I just set up a new profile for @SaveLucyTheDog.
I don’t post often, but this was too cool not to. When two of your next door neighbors are alum of The Best Damn Band in The Land, they play Taps at 3p on Memorial Day! #TBDBITL#America
After posting Lucy's rescue story to Facebook yesterday, a representative of the organization that helped me bring her back, Puppy Rescue Mission @PuppyRescueMiss (they are far more active on FB - look them up there and support them) reached out to me with some photos of Lucy that I had never seen before.
These photos were taken during those strange days after I had sent my desert companion to the city of Amman in a crate in the bed of a corrupt official's Hilux truck.
After Ali rolled out with my friend's life in his hands, I was so afraid of what might happen. He could get distracted by something else and release her, never for me to see her again. He could abandon her in the crate to die a horrible death of dehydration and desiccation. He could shoot her for sport.
He later joined ISIS, or so I heard, so perhaps I'm lucky that he didn't.
He really wanted the authentic Oakley sunglasses I had promised him.
The call from Dr. 'Ala in Amman, telling me that he had received my sweet girl, came as sweet music to my ears.
The next few days, prior to my own departure, dragged on. I missed my desert pearl.
Thank you for these photos. God, I love that dog.

Our petition is now past 3,800 names. Can we get this thing to 5,000? That would really show the groundswell of support we have to #SaveLucy.

The Blaze TV interview reached a national audience yesterday. Lucy is trending on X today.
This is the 4th time my dog has trended on X in the past month. Not bad for a desert mutt born in a mudhole on the Syria Jordan line.
It's a groundswell to #SaveLucy.
More to come.

When we moved here, our neighbors just thought we were a family of rednecks. We're not, but I do like me some outlaw country.
I made a video to go with the great song about Lucy that @music29933 wrote yesterday.

You know who you are. On April 17, you saw me in my yard with my dog. You watched a freak mishap occur. You saw the collar slip over my dog's head. You saw me immediately react, bringing my dog under control as quickly as I could manage without her leaving my property. You heard me apologize and wish you an enjoyable rest of your walk and a great day. You saw me smile.
After seeing that, you did not choose to show me understanding. You called the police. Maybe you told one of your buddies, who called the police on your behalf. Either way, you chose litigiousness over grace. For an incident that left no victims.
The police took my family's dog for that. A dog we've had for ten years. A dog I bonded with in war. Now she's in a concrete cell and I face criminal charges over an incident that left no victims.
I've been angry at you. But I am no more. I choose forgiveness. Not for your sake, but for mine. You are free to hate me if you want, but I will not hate you in return. I do not want to carry that weight.
I'm sure that you have managed to convince yourself that you were in the right. That you were perfectly justified in calling the police on me over the freak collar mishap. That taking away a family's dog and putting a law-abiding citizen who has never wanted to be anything but a good neighbor to you through a living hell was the right thing to do. These words of mine are not going to convince you otherwise, but time may.
"Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs the hearts." I pray that the Lord will find me a humble servant, doing justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with Him when he weighs my heart. I am a work in progress, but I'm trying to let the Word be my guide and His will be my own.
When I say that I forgive you, I mean that sincerely. I hold you no ill will and I will not hold a grudge against you. Not for one day more.
I wish you nothing but the best. I hope that God blesses you and your family.

Three Florida teenagers turned a simple act of kindness into a life-saving response after stopping to help a man change a tire outside a McDonald’s.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, Cooper City High School students Brody Murray, Cody Magrone and Logan Royer noticed 65-year-old Diego Fernandez Delgado struggling with a flat tire and decided to help.
But while changing the tire, the teens quickly realized something was wrong.
They said Delgado appeared pale, exhausted and was struggling to breathe before telling them he needed an ambulance.
The students immediately called 911. Deputies and firefighter-paramedics responded to the scene, where Delgado was later diagnosed with a heart attack.
“Without a doubt, these young men made an impactful difference… and probably did save his life,” a responder said in video released by authorities.
“Helping people doesn’t cost anything,” one of the teens added.
This is one of the most important things you will ever do as a Christian parent.
Dads, you are in a war. It's time to stand up like MEN and fight for your family.
This prayer comes from Pastor Richard Baxter in the 1600s.
Years ago, I saved it for one simple reason: One day, I am going to have to set an example to my kids and my grandkids to show them how a Christian man dies.
Hey @TheoVon this pastor perfectly explains what you're going through and considering right now...if you see this post, take a look at what he has to say. We're praying for ya brother🙏
