❄️Holiday Closures: ❄️
The Beth Shalom offices will be closed for the federal holidays on December 25th and January 1st. The week between those two dates is a soft closure to allow staff to finish work before the new year; we will be here, but we will not be answering phones.
If you're looking to stock up on yahrzeit candles to prepare for a power outage (smart), we don't have them for sale at Beth Shalom. However, the Safeway on 75th and 35th does have them in the kosher food section. Check your local grocery store!
(I won't say something like "Beth Shalom will never request personal information via email" because we *do* do that, all the time. But please use your best judgment of whether an email looks or sounds legitimate.)
⚠️ Beware! ⚠️
We've had reports of scammers impersonating synagogue staff in an attempt to get unsuspecting people to click on a phishing link. If you receive a suspicious or unexpected email from someone claiming to be one of us, DO NOT CLICK ANY LINKS OR OPEN ATTACHMENTS!
Instead, please delete the email and alert synagogue staff.
Note; these spam emails can often be identified by an incorrect sender email or phone number, while the sender name looks legitimate.
Front Office Happenings:
A college student called to ask about attending weekday minyan for a class assignment. Kudos to the smart professor who assigned minyan rather than Shabbat services so the students can take notes
Beth Shalom is in the process of installing an all-new phone system! As such, our phones are currently offline. If you have questions or concerns, please contact us by email!
