@psychmag Always worried my 2:2 would hold me back. Got on a forensic psych MSc after being turned down elsewhere for needing 2:1. After this went on to develop my experience and I'm now a trainee Forensic psych; they didn't seem to care about the 2:2. Experience much more valuable IMO.

The middle class, well dressed, female psychologist stereotype has been confirmed in December's issue of The Psychologist. Took me back to the webinar I attended through @ClassClin in which @BridgetteRicket referred to #thebodeneffect.
We’ve been very busy with the parliamentary activity happening around IPP at the moment, and we appreciate you bearing with us. We’re now in a position to update you. Please see the thread below for everything you need to know, and how you can help.
@rv_earnshaw I think the only advice with PDs is that you won't submit them all. So it's okay if some of them are smaller reflections whilst others are bigger pieces of work with references to literature. I'm 3 years in and they still cause me the most stress but it'll be worth it! Good luck!

Huge congratulations to @BridgetteRicket and the Women's Psychology Section!
Here's a message from our president, Katherine Carpenter....
Listening to @SELFESTEEM___ new album having a dinner time stroll. Sadly, due to being in every woman's most feared place to be: THE PARK, I'm having to listen with just one headphone but still, every song is just 👌. #lifeasawoman
@Aisalreadytaken@MarkLeuchter Wish this was the case. I fumbled through my undergrad because no one actually took the time to explain how to write a good essay. Thankfully one of my lectures on my masters degree explained it, probably because there were so many of us in the same boat still struggling with it.
Also feeling overwhelmed to have won trainee of the year in the @HmppsPsychology awards. Being able to progress as a FPiT is made so much easier by having a supportive, caring and generally all round excellent supervisor;I feel lucky to have had that in abundance @LisaCEdmondson
@HowardHumphrie1@HmppsPsychology@LisaCEdmondson Hahaha of corse! In all seriousness though your approach with young people is something I've held on to and try and use no matter who I'm working with. That's lovely, thank you 🥰
