@Eric_Conn@jchasedavis Pure Hatred for white men? Married to 1 and raising 3. 🙋🏻♀️ God? Bachelor of science in Biblical studies and about to finish a masters in Theology/Old Testament. 🙋🏻♀️ Reality? The options for self aware, emotionally mature men in their 30’s are slim. AND: huge fan of hers.🙋🏻♀️
@thealfordplea BTW, I will say this - if a wife has terrible reading appetites the husband should pre-approve until she develops a better palate
I.e. no Jesus Calling, no White Fragility, no Jesus and John Wayne, less Twilight, more Lewis, more [insert proftiable theologian] more Pearcey, etc
Be patient. The Lord is at work. He is not idle. He is not unaware. He is not indecisive. He is not only the God of time. He is the God of timing. Wait just a little longer. Stuff’s happening that you can’t yet see.
No, God didn't "forsake" or "abandon" Jesus on the cross; Jesus was quoting the 1st verse of Ps. 22 and the rest of the Psalm has striking parallels to Jesus's words and experience on the cross. The cry of "Why have you forsaken me?" would have called to mind the entire Psalm.
It’s an interesting time in evangelical history when one can be declared a “heretic” or a “woke idiot” by fellow evangelicals for holding positions held by the National Association of Evangelicals and Billy Graham.
The spirit of Bob Jones (Jr & Sr) is alive and well.
@bethallisonbarr @MrMcFteaches Clearly I got on a few minutes too late and missed the deleted tweets. But I’m here for it. And also here for the not sharing another if their articles.
@dalepartridge I have a bachelor of science in biblical studies. I’m a 2nd year Seminary student with an emphasis in OT. But sometimes my husband reads my textbooks to me while I drive because I get carsick. Does that count? 🙄
If you’ve ever wondered what it looks like to be a woman in theology, I would recommend checking out these replies/QTs. And if you know such a woman, buy her a cup of coffee today, because trust me she is tired.
@howertonjosh Some of this is insightful info. JMC
mentioned that correlation is not causation and that's the best point
here. I think you're pointing to a
"cause" that is actually another
symptom in the greater picture. Many
of these issues are occurring together
but where's the root?
