I made this fish for a demo at Lightbox Expo a couple weeks ago, then spent a bit more time painting it, then animating it, theeeeennn I got a bit carried away and now it’s a remote control AR fish I guess 😅 Really interested in exploring this idea more though!

☘️ I've learned a lot more "real" 3D techniques since I made this last year, and it's kind of weird to look back at all the hackery that went into it in retrospect. I still like how it turned out though, especially with the lighting and shadows.
I recently started tracking all the birds I see with an app on my phone, so I was excited to see ALL the seabirds on a coast trip with some friends last week, but there were just a whole lot of seagulls. (Made with Nomad Sculpt, Procreate, and some code in Swift Playgrounds)
Got to spend the afternoon in London with Tokyo drawing chum @adehogan after 2 years!
