@kbsovrflwrs So complex PTSD wasn’t included in DSM 5 but is an ICD-11 code. Just found a definition that says it is more often caused by prolonged trauma and has similar symptoms to PTSD + added emotional lability #RWJTaxi

Borderline Personality Disorder - unstable mood and relationships, impulsive, self mutilation, emotional emptiness, splitting. I feel like he might be meeting a lot of these criteria? #RWJTaxi

They showed several pill bottles on his nightstand and showed him drinking from a flask multiple times already. Definitely concerning for substance abuse #RWJTaxi

@DrTreesy I feel you could argue for adjustment disorder more than MDD - she’s showing marked distress but not many other MDD signs (insomnia, loss of appetite, guilt, etc) #RWJMirror

@DrTreesy Adjustment Disorder (DSM 5) - within 3 mo of stressor, distress out of proportion to the intensity of the stressor OR impairment in other aspects of life, symptoms resolve > 6 months after stressor is removed, doesn’t meet criteria for another Dx #RWJMirror
