Last night, BPD held its annual Awards Ceremony and Memorial Service. As part of this event, we remembered 3 retired members who passed away during the previous year.

Sgt. Emily Schock was recently honored with the 2024 Crisis Intervention Team Officer of the Year award. The award recognizes law enforcement officers that have demonstrated exemplary crisis intervention skills.

This past weekend, the flag football group WeDifferent held a car wash on 8th Ave to raise money for their team. Officer Trevezo was able to get his patrol car washed while making some new friends!

A big THANK YOU to Ms. Scicutella's Pre-K class at Calypso Elementary for having Chief Kott as their guest last week. Pre-K learned all about being a police officer and were given Junior Officer badges, crayons, and coloring books. @BethlehemAreaSD

Today we'd like to take a moment to thank Patrice from Mint Construction for her assistance this past Tuesday during the snow storm. Patrice was able to plow a portion of the roadway so our officers could move a large tree from the 3100 block of Linden St. Great job all!

Rico, a Dutch Shepard, has faithfully served the citizens of Bethlehem for the past seven years as a patrol and narcotics detection K9. Thank you for your service Rico!!!!
Over the weekend, Officers Heaton& Strydesky traded their duty boots for hockey skates and were able to join tourists and community members out on the ice at the Ice Rink at Steel Stacks! They were even able to do some recruiting!

This weekend officers from patrol and the support services unit took part in More Miles Automotive' s annual tree toss. This unique and festive event raised almost $2,300, for Turning Point of Lehigh Valley.
We can't wait till next year’s event!
This morning, to celebrate the new Wawa's grand opening, our officers participated in a Hoagies for Heroes hoagie-building contest. Even though the Bethlehem Fire Department won, BPD was still able to raise $1,000 for our designated charity, @turningpointlv !
