@jon_d_doe Agba, I think you should keep your advice to him on the next line of action between you two until it's executed. I sense the girl may have come across your post about this issue (you know you have more people reading you aside from your almost 500k followers).
@jon_d_doee All my life, I have never had sex with any girl while under my father’s roof. I find this very disrespectful.
I’m wondering how you can be comfortable doing this and still demand that he respect you.
A man who is addicted to betting is gradually negotiating with poverty, anxiety and loss of self-control.
And unfortunately, the negotiation hardly ends in his favour.
There is a difference between a man who places a bet occasionally for entertainment and a man whose mind has started depending on betting for financial rescue.
The second man has a serious problem.
Once you start looking at betting as a source of income, every N1,000 in your hand starts looking like potential N20,000.
Transport money becomes betting money.
Food money becomes betting money.
Money meant for an important bill suddenly becomes, "Arsenal cannot lose at home."
My brother, Arsenal does not know you exist.
The painful thing about gambling addiction is that sometimes, one big win can do more damage than several losses.
Because that win becomes evidence in your head.
"I told you I understand this thing."
So you increase your stake.
When you lose, you don't accept the loss.
You start chasing it.
"I just need one correct ticket to recover everything."
Your ticket come cut.
You deposit again.
Lose again.
At this point, you're no longer gambling to make money.
You're gambling because you desperately want yesterday's money back.
And money already lost has no emotional attachment to you.
Otilor.
This is where betting starts attacking a man's peace.
You're watching matches you don't even enjoy anymore.
A goalkeeper in another country concedes one useless goal and your whole mood changes.
Your woman is talking to you, you're refreshing LiveScore.
Your mother calls, you're irritated.
Salary enters today, tomorrow you're calculating another accumulator.
Small small, secrecy enters.
Then lies.
Then borrowing.
Then shame.
Then another bet to hopefully solve the problem created by the previous bets.
That cycle is dangerous.
Gambling can lead to financial stress, relationship breakdown and mental-health problems.
But there's another part young men need to understand:
Betting is not an investment strategy.
You cannot build your financial future around whether somebody will score before halftime.
Imagine two men with, 50,000.
One uses his own to learn something useful, buy equipment for his work, support a small hustle or simply saves it.
The other is trying to turn N50,000 into N600,000 before 6pm because Arsenal, Barcelona, Inter Milan and one club he cannot pronounce must all cooperate.
Who is actually building something?
Sometimes the betting man will win.
And that is the dangerous beauty of gambling.
If nobody ever won, nobody would gamble.
But winning occasionally doesn't mean you've discovered a financial strategy.
The more troubling part is what addiction can do to your character.
A hardworking man gradually begins to desire money without corresponding value creation.
Patience disappears.
Your N100,000 begins to look "too small", because your betting app is showing you a possible winning of N3.7 million.
My brother, possible winning is not money.
Protect your mind.
Protect your income.
Protect your relationship or marriage.
And most importantly, protect your name.
If you're already addicted, don't turn this into another motivational post you'll like and scroll past.
Admit there's a problem.
Sometimes, saying:
"I cannot control this thing anymore, and I need help", is not weakness.
There is dignity in stopping.
There is dignity in rebuilding.
There is dignity in earning your money and sleeping peacefully without wondering whether Real Madrid will ruin your life at 9pm.
Your money should give you options.
It shouldn't give you anxiety every weekend.
AJD.
You young people in your 20s that are supporting this APC government are very foolish.
And I am not sorry to say it.
Under the OBJ and GEJ administration, young people like us then could get married and start raising our family before we turned 30.
But I put it to you that, most of you are afraid to start a family because you know that you're poor.
You can't even buy a car a rent a decent apartment unless you steal or prostitute.
You think this is life?
Do not allow the older people who are pushing you or brainwashing you to support APC to deceive you.
They had it better.
But because of what they're gaining from this evil government, they keep telling you lies.
You need to fight for your future because it's bleak.
You're 28, a graduate and you're either jobless or underemployed.
Shun religious or tribal bigotry and take back your country from these evil leaders.
They're destroying your future.
Think! Think! Think!
You're busy insulting people who challenge the government because they are paying you 5k or 20k.
You're a fool.
A big fool.
AJD.
If you're not a religious person, you need to be very careful with your life.
And you also need to be careful with how you express your views about religion.
A religious person will pretend that they like you and act as if they're quite liberal.
But they'll be silently wishing for your downfall or plotting to bring you down.
When something bad happens to you, in their mind, they will justify it with the fact that you either do not practice their faith or because you just do not want to identify with any religion.
A religious person does not believe that you can believe in God and not believe in religion.
Deep down, they believe that when misfortune happens to you, it's because you do not go to the church or a mosque.
And most times, they will not help you when you're in dire financial need, but will be preaching to you or recommend you to one prayer house or a religious leader.
They'll gaslight or guilt trip you to think that it's because of your ways of thinking, that's why the misfortune befell on you.
I have dealt with these people for years, and I know what I am saying.
Keep them far away from you.
They don't like you.
End.
@jon_d_doe Now last year I filled up my tank last😂🤣 and I non dey on AC anyhow again. Maximum way I dey buy now, now 30k and I non dey waka anyhow again.
I want to say something to young and newly married men who only deflowered their wives after their wedding.
Do not rush into getting your wife pregnant immediately you marry her.
Get to know her body, understand what she loves during sex, and explore her very well.
Teach her alot about sex and make sure that you fuck her frequently, too.
Forget whatever she claims that she read from books or watched from porn movies.
Theory is different from practical.
If you rush to get her pregnant without teaching her alot and getting to know her body, she may lose interest in sex and will continue to fall below your expectations.
And I don't need to tell you what childbirth does to a woman's self confidence and sexual hormones.
Take this advise seriously.
End.
