$SMLR Earnings today and we’re heading into Q1 results on after hours with a valuation asymmetry in the stock.

1) 374.5M BTC holdings with Bitcoin at 103k vs $380M market cap. That means Semler’s core business is being valued at around nothing, basically free..

That’s irrational given it’s a profitable, debt light company after their convertibles offerings..

2) TTM Net Income: $40.9M
With a P/E around 9.5, which for a software/healthcare company, is kind of cheap.

Most SaaS or med tech firms with positive earnings trade at 15–25 P/E minimum..
That’s half the conservative SaaS norm for SMLR. Especially shocking given its net profitable, low debt, and has Bitcoin upside.

3) Now what would be my fair value?

If BTC alone is worth $374.5M, and you apply even a 10x multiple on 40M earnings, you’d get:

A $400M business + $374.5M in Bitcoin = $774.5M total equity value.
Divide that by 9.6M shares and you get a $80.67/share long term potential target.

4) Buying SMLR means you’re getting a profitable tech company basically for free. The Street may think that the management is abandoning the main business, but as Eric stated I don’t think that’s the case.

People call me racist when I discuss IQ issues between races. Ok, here is my explanation. Please tell me where I am wrong.

Throughout millions of years of evolution, different races in different regions have faced different living environments. People living in the tropics face abundant food, countless plants and animals, no winter, overall low survival pressure, and relatively easy life.

People living in temperate regions obviously face more difficulties, they have much less access to food. The winter is very cold and they need clothes to keep warm, and they must work very hard to find ways to keep their race alive. Those people that couldn't come up with solutions were eliminated in the bad environment.

The living conditions in the cold regions are too poor, making it difficult for humans to survive on a large scale, no matter how hard people tried.

And the human brain, just like other body organs, becomes better the more it is used. Over millions of years of evolution, humans in temperate regions have clearly used the brain more, which ultimately led to higher IQs.
