Sex work is work, and sex workersβ rights are human rights.
On International Sex Workersβ Day, we recognize the ongoing fight for the rights, safety, and dignity of sex workers around the world. No one should have to fear violence, judgment, or discrimination for the work they do.
Misinformation and prejudice often shape public opinion and policy, leading to criminalization, stigma, and barriers to healthcare, housing, legal protection, and financial services.
These challenges donβt just restrict access to essential resources. They also take a toll on sex workersβ mental health and reinforce social and systemic inequalities.
Decriminalization. Access. Respect. These arenβt radical ideasβtheyβre human rights.
Todayβand every dayβwe stand in solidarity with sex workers demanding visibility, justice, and the right to live and work safely.
We encourage you to support organizations doing vital advocacy work such as @NewMoonNetwork, @WoodhullFreedom, @swopbehindbars, and @CupcakeGirlsOrg by making a donation. You can also explore their resources to learn more and take action.
