MERCY TUESDAY
(Jeremiah 30:17)

For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord.

Prayer for Mercy:
Merciful Father, on this Mercy Tuesday, I place my body, mind and soul in Your healing hands. Touch every sickness I know and anything developing within me that has not yet been discovered.
Heal all wounds caused by rejection, betrayal, grief and disappointment. Silence the thoughts that keep me awake at night. Restore the joy that pain has taken from me and the hope that prolonged waiting has weakened.
Remember everyone undergoing treatment, awaiting medical results or caring for someone who is unwell. Give wisdom to their doctors and strength to their families.
Merciful Jesus, I place my life and those I love completely in Your hands. Where medicine can reach, work through it. Where medicine cannot reach, reveal the power of Your mercy. Amen

Jesus, I trust in You.

Litany of Divine Light

Response: Lord, let Your light shine upon us.

Jesus, Light of the World

Jesus, Sun of Justice radiating on Mount Tabor,

Jesus, whose face shone like the sun,

Jesus, whose garments became white as light,

Jesus, Splendour of the Father’s glory,

Jesus, Light that darkness cannot overcome,

Response: Transfigure our hearts, O Lord.

In times of grief and sorrow,

In times of financial hardship and insecurity,

In times of spiritual dryness and doubt,

When the weight of our personal crosses feels too heavy,

When our homes and families need healing and reconciliation,

When fear hinders us from witnessing to our faith,

Response: Deliver us, O Lord

From blind devotion that flees from the Cross,

From seeking comfort without willingness to serve,

From indifference to the suffering of our neighbors,

From forgetting the glory that awaits those who persevere,

Lamb of God, You take away the sins of the world,
Spare us, O Lord.

Have mercy on us.

You have shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God.
In Your light, we see light.

Let us pray:
O God, who in the glorious Transfiguration of Your Only Begotten Son confirmed the mysteries of faith by the witness of the Fathers and wonderfully prefigured our full adoption as Your children, grant, we pray, that listening to the voice of Your beloved Son, we may merit to become co-heirs with Him. Who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever.
