No. I love him because he first loved me, and died for me. I fear him because he has the ability to punish me on this earth. Similar to a parent child relationship. We love our kids before they even know us. We have a healthy fear of our parents because if we break their rules they can ground us, put us in time out etc. and similar to God and us. no matter what we do we are still his children once we believe on Christ Jesus.
