Waiting for the other shoe to drop is terrible for our health, brain, & spiritual life. And it’s in direct conflict w/ the promises of God. Search the Scriptures for verses about God’s goodness, & you’ll find they’re often connected to the invitation to trust, wait, and believe.
May you choose to be grateful when you'd rather be grumpy. May you choose to rejoice in God's goodness when you're tempted to rehearse man's badness. May you sing into your empty well trusting that God will soon fill it.
"What the sun is to the earth, Jesus Christ is to the spiritual world. ... Christ wants to turn His light on in our hearts. He wants us to be reflectors of His divine Light." #BillyGraham
Every Christ follower goes through a season of reduction; a time when God “reduces” us, prunes us back, thins our lives, and reminds us once again that we are not what we do, we’re someone He loves. Remind your soul that God is with you here. He’s doing a deep work in you.
“‘Everything is meaningless,’ says the Teacher, ‘completely meaningless!’
(Ecclesiastes 1:2)
Those words were written by King Solomon a long time ago.
He had literally tried it all. He was the hedonist extraordinaire,
seeking pleasure at all costs. He went He went on unbelievable drinking binges and chased after women like there was no tomorrow. At the same time, he was highly educated. An architectural genius,
he masterminded the building of incredible structures.
And by today’s standards, he was worth billions of dollars. Yet Solomon asked the same questions that many people are asking today. "What is life really all about?"
However, we don’t have to wait for the last chapter of Solomon’s book to find out what his answer was. He brought it front and center in the beginning and went on to explain why and how he came to his https://t.co/rraL8nlniT Ecclesiastes 1:2 he basically summed up what he discovered on his great search: “Everything is meaningless, .. . completely meaningless!”This searcher is telling us there is nothing on this earth that will satisfy us completely. That is because God has designed us, has wired us, to know Him.
“Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne was standing in heaven, and One sitting on the throne.
And He who was sitting was like a jasper stone and a sardius in appearance; and there was a 🌈rainbow🌈 around the throne, like an emerald in appearance.
Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice,
"Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing."
And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying,
"To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever."
— Revelation 4:2-3, 5:11-13
