Elon Musk posted his MAGA hat which appears to use a version of the Fraktur font, which was popular in Nazi Germany. He wore it to Trump's rally at Madison Square Garden.

In the early years of the Nazi era, Fraktur typefaces were promoted as the traditional "true German" script, representing German heritage in contrast to Roman or Antiqua typefaces, which were associated with foreign, particularly Jewish, influence. The Nazi regime criticized the use of Roman typefaces, claiming they were "un-German" and influenced by Jewish culture, and even encouraged the press and schools to use Fraktur instead.

However, this stance changed in 1941, when the Nazis abruptly declared Fraktur "Jewish letters" in a surprising reversal, banning its use and mandating a switch to Roman typefaces or Antiqua across all official documents and publications. The reasoning behind this shift is still debated, but it was likely driven by practical concerns, as Roman typefaces were easier to read internationally.
