The Bill impacts everyone with a dual nationality, foreign born Brit nationals or those the Govt believes are eligible for citizenship elsewhere (e.g. those with foreign-born parents). The New Statesmen claims 2 in 5 people from a non-white ethnic minority background are affected

This has not been communicated by HMG to those affected meaning their life plans may have irrevocably changed and they have had no opportunity to react. Families of UK nationals will be split and lives ruined.

@BritishInEurope Getting ready to fly back with our kids, leaving hubby behind in the hope that he's granted EUSS Family Permit in time to get into the UK and apply for PSS, all by 29th March 2022. So unrealistic of the UK government 😢🇬🇧

BiE lobbied for a deadline extension to allow UK citizens to return with non UK family members to the UK. This short window is about to close yet many families are in limbo as processing permits is taking longer than before & the process is STILL unclear.

@BritishInEurope Whaaaaattttt oh jeese. I'm naturalised French applying for Family Permit for my husband. First I learn hubby may be refused as I was already French at the time of applying, now I learn I may have British citizenship revoked, despite being born there?! What is going on??? 😢
