@RoversBexhill@Ian_Austin_@asbo86@MarcmckayRobbo@Robbo_Utd_FC Tbf that one probably wasn’t a league error. As until you get young players into the environment it’s hard to say how they’ll step up to the physicality as they were all good technical players. But I think a 2/3 year intro to men’s football might help.
Something for next season?
@RoversBexhill@asbo86@MarcmckayRobbo Hawkhurst in our league are a good example. They had a young team fresh out of youth leagues at start of the season went in at Div 3 and got beaten heavily each week. Now all the kids have quit and potentially we’ve lost them from senior football for good.
@asbo86@RoversBexhill@MarcmckayRobbo Really we need some sort of bridging division between youth and senior perhaps they could introduce a div 6 for U18 first year. Then the next year div 6 becomes U19’s. Then in third year it becomes a senior league. And you then get another U18 div 7
@RoversBexhill@MarcmckayRobbo More needs to be done to combat kids leaving the game between junior and senior football. As the old guard retire less and less young faces coming through to replace them.
