Fantastic result and a performance to match. After only 1 game in the last 3 1/2 months,I was a bit concerned about this one. Not only have we not had any football for a long time,if we lost,it would see us out the title race.
The boys knew this aswell and were determined not to let that happen.
We played some great football on a not so great surface and controlled large parts of the game,reducing Copthorne to long balls over the top that were dealt with every time. Aydan finally netted after a long period of not scoring,proving to be a vital goal and the lads then proved a huge point that they want the spoils come the end of the season by grinding out the result. Grit,determination and the belief they can do it saw us take the 3 point. Super proud of the lads today

This is my son Aydan who is 18 and has been refereeing since he was 14. Every weekend he gets well over 20 requests to ref games. He’s firm but fair and talks throughout reffing things like "careful, hands down, great tackle, amazing save, and will always explain his decisions and has absolutely no time for managers being rude.
