BREAKING: Nurse principal suspect in Mohbad’s death – Police
The Lagos State Police Commissioner, Idowu Owohunwa, provided an update on the investigation into the death of singer Mohbad.
He identified the nurse who treated the singer before his death as the principal suspect, stating that the nurse was not qualified to administer injections, which triggered events leading to the singer's death.
The autopsy results are still pending. Mohbad, a former signee of Marlian Record label, died in a controversial manner on September 12.

Troops of the Joint Task Force (JTF) South-East Operation UDO KA II have arrested two members of the Indigenous People of Biafra/Eastern Security Network (IPOB/ESN) and recovered a locally-made Rocket Propelled Launcher (Ogbunigwe) and improvised explosive device (IED)-making materials.
The arrests and recoveries were made during clearance operations along Ihioma-Ihittenansa in Orsu local government area and Okigwe-Umulolo in Okigwe local government area of Imo State.
These operations aimed to identify and destroy potential camps of fleeing IPOB/ESN members and curtail their activities.
One troop vehicle was hit by an IED, but no casualties were reported.
More trouble for Naira Marley as Court issues ‘Production Warrant’ against the singer
Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, issued a production warrant against Nigerian singer Naira Marley, who is facing 11-count charges related to conspiracy and credit card fraud, as prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
During a recent court session, Naira Marley's counsel explained that the defendant was absent due to being detained by the Police for questioning regarding the murder of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba also known as Mohbad.
The defense requested an adjournment, which was granted by the court.
The prosecution counsel requested a production warrant to ensure the defendant's presence at the next court date. Justice Oweibo granted this request and adjourned the trial until October 30, 2023, for its continuation.

The Ogun 1 Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has intercepted contraband worth N242 million within seven days.
The acting Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, announced this during a press briefing in Abeokuta.
The contraband included 1,436 used pneumatic tires, 53 sacks of tokunbo tires, 569 parcels of cannabis sativa weighing 1,179 kilograms, 3,149 bags of foreign parboiled rice, and 32 vehicles used for conveyance.
Adeniyi highlighted the risks posed by expired and substandard tires to motorists and reaffirmed the customs service's commitment to protecting society from harmful substances and ensuring public safety.
