Is this the worst offense in baseball history that we're watching? The 2026 San Diego Padres? Because ive never in my 25 yrs of watching baseball seen anything like it. How does Souza still have a job bro? Hes gotta go, like 2-3 weeks ago. #FireSouza
Good news: The Padres are 6 games above .500 and still in the top WC spot
Bad news: That will not last if they don’t improve significantly in many areas. The offense has no plate discipline and ranks bottom 3 in MLB in several offensive categories. Also, the starting pitching’s inability to go deep into games is starting to affect the bullpen.
I was at this game. I have a real problem when new fans talk to me about pain.
Imagine losing to the Rockies in a 1 game playoff that only happened because Tony Gwynn Jr got to Trevor Hoffman two days before
Craig Counsell doesn’t appear to be a fan of the rule where two-way players aren't counted against the 13-pitcher roster limit: “And then there’s one team that’s allowed to carry basically one of both, and that he gets special consideration. Which is probably the most bizarre rule. ... For one team.”
