@LouisTrudeau I doubt it since we’re not really snr limited in our imaging. You will also notice how proteins line bsn and vamp2 are more enriched in varicosities that are close to their targets (which you also show in one of your papers)…likely that release probability is much higher there.

We recently posted a preprint from my lab, summarizing work over the past couple of years where we show that the neuromodulator dopamine is released from varicosities that synapse onto the processes of target neurons.
